Dear VDMIS
And David Smith,

This year EVOvideo08 will offer its online training session through TESOL CALL-IS's Electronic Village Online <http://evo08sessionscfp.pbwiki.com/> from January 14 to February 24. The focus of this year’s session will be on the creation and editing of video slideshows. Participants will learn how to create slideshows and edit their work (that is, add narration, music, and video footage). They will also learn about various online video storing sites, and they will experiment with video blogging. Examples of successful integration of slideshow creation projects into ESL/EFL classes will be provided, and evaluation criteria for this kind of project will be discussed. The team is also organizing guest speakers during the session. Our syllabus is viewable at

This year’s Co-moderators are: Ryan Detwiler, Nicolas Gromik, Mike Marzio, Sergio Mazzarelli, and Geoff Taylor.
In order to officially register our workshop as a training session delivered via the EVO, EVOvideo08 would like to request VDMIS’ support and sponsorship, as they have done every year in the past.
Thank you for considering sponsoring EVOvideo08. Your role would be to publicize this international, free, six-week course to VDMIS members in your email list, and newsletter, if possible. We hope our topic will attract IS members, as the workshop is a unique, free professional development opportunity for teachers with a wide range of interests.
We look forward to offering a great training session for all TESOL and VDMIS members.
Sincerely,
Nicolas Gromik on behalf of,
EVOvideo08
